Doremiza is a small creative space in Zagreb, just around the corner from the Ljubljanica tram stop, also known as ‘Remiza’, hence the name. It is located in a friendly neighbourhood, with free parking space in front of the house and a green garden at the back.

Here you can organize workshops, photo and video sessions, lectures and meetings. You can teach lessons, present various skills and products, exchange ideas, play board games or simply have a good time with your friends while listening to music from our eclectic record collection.

The place has a separate entrance from the street. It has a total area of 45 square meters and consists of two rooms full of natural light, to which a kitchenette and bathroom are connected. It can accommodate up to 10 people and it is equipped with free Wi-Fi, central heating and air conditioning.

At Doremiza you can also enjoy a display of illustrations, photographs, jewellery, ceramic and other works by local artists. The collection is very lively and it’s constantly changing.

The rent of the space costs 75 HRK or 10 EUR per hour with a time minimum of 3 hours. Payment is made through a transaction account exclusively and you can make the payment both as a private person and as a legal entity.

Iva Čaleta Pleša and Boris Pleša are spouses who like to do things that make them happy. As big fans of music and travel, in the spring of 2018 they opened a music-themed private accommodation at the same location. In less than two years, they have had the pleasure of hosting travellers from almost 50 countries.

Thanks to the idea of thematic accommodation and the approach that includes a personal welcome and farewell of guests, the story of this business model was published on a dozen TV channels, as well as in newspapers and Internet portals in the country and abroad.

As Iva and Boris share a passion towards new experiences, they conceived Doremiza as a meeting place; a space where new people and new ideas meet.

Iva is a French and Russian teacher, a licensed tourist guide, museologist and heritage interpreter. She is an active member of the Croatian and European Association for Heritage Interpretation. She loves to study, travel, visit museums, socialize and yes — she talks a lot.

Boris is a graphic designer, illustrator and photographer. He adores his two daughters and his wife, travelling, books and his record collection. He played in many bands you’ve never heard of, probably because he’s, after all this years, still a terrible guitar player.

At Doremiza there is also a small studio apartment available for a short or medium term rent. It is ideal for artists staying in residencies or exchange students.
